No Brasil é permitido começar a trabalhar a partir dos 14 anos de idade, como jovem aprendiz, e dos 16, como menor trabalhador.

Esses trabalhadores têm alguns direitos garantidos na Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho (CLT) e na Constituição Federal.

1. Férias  CLT, artigo 136, parágrafo 2º
2. Trabalho noturno > CLT, artigo 404
3. FGTS, salário mínimo e décimo terceiro > Constituição Federal, artigo 7º, incisos III, IV e VIII
